Job summary

Valley Springs Behavioral Hospital is seeking a Court Liaison to oversee all court-related processes for involuntary treatment patients, representing the hospital at hearings and coordinating with courts, county offices, and treating physicians.

The role ensures all court documentation is complete and submitted on time, works with treatment teams, and maintains strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance. This position offers a pay range of $36.55–$49.34 per hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Criminal Justice, or related clinical field.
• Master’s degree in clinical field from an accredited school preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all court-related procedures for involuntary treatment patients, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards.
• Prepare, complete, and process all legal documentation related to court commitments in a timely, accurate manner.
• Attend and participate in treatment team rounds to communicate clinically relevant information for court proceedings.
• Represent the hospital at probable cause hearings by presenting accurate and objective clinical information.
• Communicate with court-appointed attorneys, providing timely and thorough case information.
