Job summary

DeCoach Recovery in Cincinnati, OH seeks a Behavioral Health Counselor (LSW, LPC, LPCC, LISW) for a full-time position. The role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering individual and group counseling within a collaborative, evidence-based care team.

You will work with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and case managers to deliver comprehensive services, focusing on culturally competent care and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Degree in counseling, social work, or chemical dependency.
• State licensure or certification as a Mental Health Counselor or equivalent (e.g., LPC, LPCC, LSW, LISW, LCDC II/III, LICDC).
• Ability to work effectively in a team and with diverse professional backgrounds.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide individual and group counseling using strengths-based, person-centered approaches.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and supervision.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current with research and best practices.
• Provide culturally competent and inclusive care and advocate for clients.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with policies.
• Provide crisis intervention and coordinate with resources for safety.
