Marion Health in Marion, IN, seeks a Behavioral Health Consultant for the Emergency Department to provide behavioral health assessments and crisis intervention. You will coordinate care and link patients to community resources, aiming to reduce unnecessary ED visits and improve post-discharge follow-up.

The role may involve patient de-escalation, intervention planning, and suicide prevention activities, with warm handoffs and follow-ups for high‑risk patients.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology, counseling or social work required.
• Indiana licensure as LPC/LMHC/LCSW/HSPP required or equivalent.
• Master's degree in Family Therapy with Indiana LMFT or LPC licensure may apply.
• BLS certification or obtain during Orientation prior to report to department.

Responsabilités

• Conduct behavioral health assessments and crisis intervention in the ED.
• Coordinate care and link patients to community resources.
• Support reductions in unnecessary ED visits and improve follow-up after discharge.
• Assist with patient de-escalation, intervention planning and suicide prevention.
• Perform scheduled warm handoffs and follow-ups for high-risk patients.
