GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of acute psychiatric patients.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides individual, group and family therapy with assigned patients. (70%)
  • Conducts an individual comprehensive evaluation for assigned patients. (10%)
  • Completes all documentation according to regulatory requirements (e.g. treatment plans, progress notes). (10%)
  • Attends all required departmental/hospital meetings. (10%)
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

  • Master's degree in a relevant field
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT) or other Behavioral Specialist license
  • CPR – American Heart Association
    • Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
    • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
    • Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

Preferred

  • Older Adults Protective Services Act (OAPSA) clearance
  • Prior counseling experience in a behavioral health setting
