GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of acute psychiatric patients.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provides individual, group and family therapy with assigned patients. (70%)
2. Conducts an individual comprehensive evaluation for assigned patients. (10%)
3. Completes all documentation according to regulatory requirements (e.g. treatment plans, progress notes). (10%)
4. Attends all required departmental/hospital meetings. (10%)
5. Performs other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

1. Master's degree in a relevant field
2. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT) or other Behavioral Specialist license
3. CPR – American Heart Association
   • Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
   • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
   • Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

Preferred

1. Older Adults Protective Services Act (OAPSA) clearance
2. Prior counseling experience in a behavioral health setting
