Job summary

PrimeCare Medical is seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW/LCSW) to work as a Behavioral Health Professional in the Indiana County Jail, Indiana, PA. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, delivering on-site mental health services to inmates.

Responsibilities include clinical assessments, risk evaluations, and coordinating care with psychiatry and forensic services.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a LPC, LSW, or LCSW in Pennsylvania.
• Must hold a Master’s degree or greater in Social Work, Psychology, or related human service field with clinical coursework.
• Minimum of two years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments based on referrals and self-referrals, including mental status examination and treatment planning.
• Perform risk assessments using structured interviews and tools; manage inmates at risk for suicide or self-harm.
• Serve as PCM mental health liaison for outside facility services.
• Facilitate admission/placement to forensic hospitals when necessary.
• Monitor all mental health services and ensure standards align with NCCHC and professional guidelines.
• Participate in Quality Assurance Committee and develop in-service education.
• Collect data and prepare monthly performance reports.
