UNC Health Care is seeking a Behavioral Health Clinician II to deliver direct care, assessments, and therapeutic services to individuals facing acute mental health and substance use challenges.

Working in a collaborative, team-based environment, you provide ongoing care management and clinical support through comprehensive assessment, care planning, implementation, and continuous evaluation of each individual's needs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree is required for the role.

Responsabilités

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and risk evaluations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patient, family and treatment team.
• Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions using appropriate clinical modalities.
• Participate in daily multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care and support discharge planning.
• Work with psychiatrists, nurses and support staff to ensure cohesive care delivery.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of NC state statutes related to involuntary commitment processes.
• Document clinical interactions and progress notes per hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Assist patients and families in understanding treatment goals, discharge plans, and referrals to outpatient services.
• Coordinate and facilitate safe discharge plans by linking individuals to community resources.
