Behavioral Health Clinician II - Psychotherapy
Full time, exempt, days, 8:00am - 6:00pm
Behavioral Health Clinician II’s act as an extension of the psychiatric provider. Working collaboratively with the behavioral health team, medical team, and community stakeholders, they are responsible for completing psychosocial assessments, developing treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and crisis de-escalation. They work independently to evaluate and recommend appropriate levels of care for behavioral health patients.
One goal of all services facilitated by the BHC is to provide psychiatric providers with necessary information to finalize patient dispositions. BHC II’s work with diverse populations, age groups, and diagnoses. They serve as primary educators on mental health topics for patients and families. They facilitate patient-centered, trauma-informed brief individual, family, and group therapy within the acute care setting, and coordinate discharge and aftercare services as needed.
