Position: Behavioral Health Clinician II - Psychotherapy
Type: Full-time, exempt, days (8:00am - 6:00pm)
Summary: The BHC II acts as an extension of psychiatric providers, responsible for psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, patient progress monitoring, crisis de-escalation, and working with diverse populations. The role involves providing trauma-informed individual, family, and group therapy, coordinating discharge and aftercare, and serving as an educator on mental health topics.
Education & Training: Master's Degree in Human Services (e.g., Social Work, Counseling) and Maryland licensure as LCSW-C or LCPC.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years, preferably with acute/chronic mental illness in psychiatric settings.
Skills & Abilities: Psychosocial assessment, therapy, discharge planning, community resource coordination, regulatory knowledge, critical thinking, communication, time management, and adaptability in fast-paced environments. Ability to collaborate effectively, respond calmly to crises, make independent decisions, and adapt hours as needed.
