Job summary

Beacon Specialized Living is seeking a Clinician to deliver high-quality behavioral services, develop individualized plans, and implement evidence-based interventions for clients with complex behavioral health needs in Genesee, Oakland and Macomb counties. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Behavioral Analysis, Counseling or related field.
• Valid state license or certification (BCBA, LCSW, LSW, LPCC, LPC, PBSF).
• Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical experience (including practicum/internship).
• Experience with mentally ill and intellectually disabled adult populations preferred.
• Experience with complex, high intensity/high frequency behaviors required.
• Approved by state, federal, and local governmental entities to work within BSLS programs.
• Maintains own mandatory training and certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Independently coordinates, designs, and monitors individualized behavior treatment plans using data-driven methods.
• Provides face-to-face clinical services to BSLS clients within scope of practice.
• Leads crisis response efforts and implements appropriate interventions.
• Provides consultation and debriefing to staff after incidents and guides corrective actions.
• Performs root-cause evaluations of adverse incidents and updates treatment plans.
• Serves as clinical consultant in interdisciplinary meetings and guides care planning.
• Participates in treatment team meetings and case reviews.
• Maintains comprehensive clinical documentation (PBSP, FBA, summaries) ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Analyzes monthly data to monitor progress and adjust interventions.
• Conducts behavioral assessments and informs program design.
• Ensures activities meet clients’ social, emotional, mental and physical needs.
• Assists in developing ongoing behavioral health training for staff and coordinates training tracking.
• Communicates with families as appropriate and supports resident engagement.
• Conducts on-site training for home managers and staff; supports investigations when needed.
• Builds relationships with CMH and other agencies to coordinate care.
• Contributes to performance improvement initiatives.
