EDGE (End Discrimination Gain Equality) New Jersey, Morris County's first and only LGBTQ+ center, seeks a Behavioral Health Counselor (with an LSW or LCSW) to provide behavioral health services to our members.You should apply for this job only if you want a deeply meaningful position that makes a significant impact on others!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide individual and group behavioral health care in accordance with standards of care and organizational policies.
- Complete behavioral health assessments and assist with external referrals for psychiatric care, mental health services, and other treatment recommendations.
- Develop individualized treatment care plans with measurable outcomes for assigned caseload.
- Monitor and track member progress on treatment care plans and update in accordance with organizational policies.
- Communicate with members care coordinator to ensure healthcare support needs of members (e.g., 340B patients) are addressed, including but not limited to healthcare provider visit follow-ups, HIV and/or STI/STD education, and healthcare navigation assistance and services.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with community organizations and referral sources (i.e., social workers, probation officers, school-based staff, physicians, etc.).
- Adhere to agency standards for reporting requirements, including documentation in agency databases and member file structure.
- Track, record, and compile level of service provision and other reports as required by supervisor.
- Provide crisis intervention and counseling as necessary.
- Assist members with legal obligations related to behavioral health needs.
- Comply with HIPAA requirements, state and federal policies governing behavioral health care, and the NASW Code of Ethics.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW).
- New Jersey state licensure as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
- Experience working with the LGBTQ+, HIV+, youth, and/or substance use communities preferred.

SALARY AND BENEFITS
The compensation package for this position includes:
- Starting salary range of $63,000 to $68,000.
- 4 Day Work Week.
- Generous Paid Time Off (PTO).
- 401(k) Retirement Plan.
- Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurances fully paid for by EDGE NJ.
