Job summary

Family Pride of Northeast Ohio is seeking an experienced Clinical Director to provide organization-wide clinical leadership and strategic direction for mental health, SUD, and prevention services. The role focuses on quality care, staff development, and program innovation across multiple locations.

The position emphasizes data-driven decision making, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with senior leadership to align clinical priorities with organizational goals and community needs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in social work, counseling, psychology, or related behavioral health field.
• Current independent clinical licensure in the State of Ohio with supervisory designation (e.g., LISW-S or LPCC-S).
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive clinical experience in behavioral health (mental health and/or SUD).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience supervising and leading clinical teams, programs, or services.
• Experience in clinical program development, quality improvement, compliance, and organizational leadership.
• Experience using data and performance measures to evaluate clinical quality, outcomes, and productivity.
• Strong knowledge of behavioral health regulations, accreditation standards, payer requirements, and evidence-based practices.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with staff, leadership, community partners, and professional organizations.
• Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritize competing responsibilities and lead effectively in a changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide organization-wide clinical leadership and strategic direction for mental health, SUD treatment, and prevention services.
• Oversee planning, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of clinical programs and services.
• Identify opportunities to expand and strengthen clinical programming and partnerships.
• Lead, coach, support, and hold clinical supervisors and program leaders accountable.
• Develop strong clinical leaders and promote cross-location collaboration.
• Establish and oversee an agency-wide clinical training plan focusing on evidence-based practices and quality care.
• Establish and monitor clinical and program performance indicators including quality, productivity, access, and outcomes.
• Use data to identify trends, address concerns, and guide continuous quality improvement.
• Ensure clinical compliance with CARF, OhioDBH, payer requirements, laws, and professional standards.
• Collaborate with Senior Leadership to align clinical priorities with strategy, staffing, and resources.
• Represent clinical programming at Board meetings and build cross-department relationships.
• Lead with purpose, develop people, and embrace innovative approaches to improve client care.
