Job summary

Valley Hospital Phoenix, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a Charge Nurse (RN) with a behavioral health background to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. The Charge Nurse ensures coordinated patient care, supervises nursing staff, and supports hospital goals and performance improvement initiatives.

Located at 3550 East Pinchot Avenue, Phoenix, AZ, this position features a night shift and opportunities for professional growth within UHS and its extensive network.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice by the Arizona State Board of Nursing.
• Three years of nursing administration experience preferred.
• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing preferred.
• Experience in psychiatric inpatient settings with adults 18+ and supervision preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure coordinated delivery of patient care per standards of care, mental health practice and hospital policy.
• Develop staffing schedules for Full Time Staff in accordance with patient needs.
• Prioritize and formulate a plan of care based on patient assessment and policy.
• Provide education to patients and families based on identified needs.
