Job summary

Summit BHC in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Part-time Behavioral Health Associate to join the Recovery Center team. The role focuses on monitoring clients, providing care, and supporting treatment activities.

You will conduct safety checks, assist with groups, document observations, and respond to crises under supervision. A high school diploma and CPR/de-escalation certification are required; veterans are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Six months or more experience with the specific population preferred.
• Knowledge of common psychiatric disorders and treatment modalities preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation certification required.
• First aid may be required depending on state or facility requirements.
• Veterans and military spouses are highly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the wellbeing of clients and provides a safe, positive, supportive, and structured environment.
• Conducts safety checks and supervises clients per guidelines.
• Interacts with clients, observes behaviors, and reports significant observations to the supervisor.
• Facilitates educational-rehabilitative groups on social skills, coping skills, anger management and independent living.
• Documents in client records timely, accurately, and appropriately.
• Assists with activity planning and equipment organization for recreational activities.
