Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician I to provide direct, supportive care in residential and withdrawal management settings. You will monitor vital signs, assist with medication administration, and document client status within the treatment team, ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment.

The role requires attention to safety, accurate record-keeping, and active participation in group activities and treatment plans as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent required.
• Two years of responsible employment in Human Services or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and supportive care to clients/patients in residential and withdrawal management settings.
• Monitor vital signs and medical symptoms; escalate to medical intervention when needed.
• Oversee medication administration and document self-administration by clients or staff.
• Record client medications and OTC medications; monitor storage and inventory.
• Document blood glucose readings and use agency equipment per policy.
• Interact with treatment team; communicate concerns about behaviors or safety risks.
• Facilitate group education, supervision checks, and client activities as required.
• Provide transportation to appointments when needed and assist with admissions/orientation.
