Job summary

Turning Point Centers in Millcreek, UT is seeking a Behavioral Health Associate for a residential treatment center serving adults with SUD and mood disorders. You will work with therapists and medical teams to provide a safe, trauma-informed environment that supports healing and long-term change.

This full-time overnight role (10pm–8am) offers competitive pay ($17–$19/hr) and a benefits package including 401(k), health/dental/vision, FSAs/HSA, and more.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be 21 years old or older.
• Valid driver’s license without DUI’s or serious moving violations within last 3 years.
• Able to pass a federal background check.
• Preferred: minimum 1 year in a treatment setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client intakes.
• Maintain healthy boundaries.
• Rounds and document client mood/activity.
• Facilitate recreational/non-clinical groups.
• Transport clients off site in a 15-passenger van.
• Supervise off-site recreational activities.
• Medication management.
• Light housekeeping and replacement of living staples.
• Write detailed documentation.
• Use online-based client medical records systems.
• Complete verbal hand-offs between shifts.
• Manage emergencies and de-escalate.
• Escalate to clinical and medical staff as needed.
• Conduct room/bag searches and safety inspections.

Position – Behavioral Health Associate

This position serves in a residential treatment center for adults with substance use disorders and other mental health disorders. The position works closely with the therapist and medical teams to ensure clients have a safe, empathetic, and trauma-informed environment that fosters healing and long-term change.

• Writing detailed documentation


• Use online-based client medical records systems.


• Complete verbal “hand-offs” from shift to shift.


• Managing emergency situations, de-escalating clients


• Escalate situations to clinical and medical providers as necessary.


• Conduct room searches, bag searches, and safety inspections.

• Active/valid driver’s license without DUI’s or serious moving violations within last 3 years


• Must be able to pass a federal background check through the Department of Human Services (Violent/Sexual/Predatory charges and/or convictions will result in denial of background check)


• Preferred: Minimum 1 year working in treatment setting
