Turning Point Centers is seeking a Behavioral Health Associate I to support therapists and medical teams in a residential setting for adults with substance use and mental health disorders in the Sandy/Millcreek area. You will help ensure a safe, trauma-informed environment and document client status throughout shifts.

The role involves intakes, rounds, mood checks, supervising activities, light housekeeping, transport, and on-site/off-site activities, with a competitive hourly pay of $17–$19 and

• Must be 21 years old or older.
• Valid driver's license without DUI or serious moving violations in past 3 years.
• Must pass a federal background check.
• Preferred: at least 1 year in a treatment setting.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate recreational/non-clinical groups.
• Transport clients off-site in a 15-passenger van.

Position –Behavioral Health Associate / Psych Tech

This position serves in a residential treatment center for adults with substance use disorders and other mental health disorders. The position works closely with the therapist and medical teams to ensure clients have a safe, empathetic, and trauma-informed environment that fosters healing and long-term change.

• Conduct client intakes
• Maintain healthy boundaries.
• Rounds and document client location/activity/mood.
• Facilitate recreational/non-clinical groups
• Transport clients off site in a 15-passenger van (no CDL required)
• Supervise and participate in off-site recreational activities.
• Medication management.
• Light housekeeping (replacing living staples, trash, launder linens)
• Writing detailed documentation
• Use online-based client medical records systems.
• Complete verbal “hand-offs” from shift to shift.
• Managing emergency situations, de-escalating clients
• Escalate situations to clinical and medical providers as necessary.
• Conduct room searches, bag searches, and safety inspections.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma / GED
• Must be 21 years old or older
• Active/valid driver’s license without DUI’s or serious moving violations within last 3 years
• Must be able to pass a federal background check through the Department of Human Services (Violent/Sexual/Predatory charges and/or convictions will result in denial of background check)
• Preferred: Minimum 1 year working in treatment setting
