Job summary

Northern Path Recovery Center is seeking a Behavioral Health Associate I (PRN) for its Fort Wayne, Indiana facility. The role involves monitoring client behaviors, providing continuous care, and responding in crisis situations to maintain a safe environment.

You will assist with data collection, charts, and activity planning while modeling professional behavior for clients and staff. This onsite position requires CPR/de-escalation training and a proactive, compassionate approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months or more experience working with the specific population preferred.
• Knowledge of common psychiatric disorders and treatment modalities preferred.
• CPR certification and de-escalation training required.
• First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensures wellbeing of clients and maintains a safe, supportive environment.
• Conducts safety checks and ensures appropriate supervision intervals.
• Interacts with clients, observes behaviors and reports to supervisor.
• Facilitates group activities to support treatment goals.
• Takes and records vital signs and communicates changes to nurse/charge.
• Prepares and maintains client records and incident reports when needed.
• Applies de-escalation techniques to manage emotions and participation.
• Provides transportation or coordinates it with staff when required.
