Job summary

Northern Path Recovery Center in Fort Wayne, IN, seeks a Behavioral Health Associate I to support a multidisciplinary treatment team. You will monitor client behaviors, provide safe supervision, and assist in data collection and crisis response to ensure continuous, quality care.

The role emphasizes interaction with clients, facilitating groups, and accurate record-keeping while supporting a structured treatment environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months or more experience with behavioral health population preferred.
• Knowledge of psychiatric disorders/dual diagnosis and treatment modalities preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation certification required.
• First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the wellbeing of clients in a safe, positive, supportive and structured environment.
• Maintains constant awareness and supervision of clients.
• Conducts safety checks and ensures supervision per guidelines.
• Checks clients for contraband and manages belongings.
• Interacts with clients, observes behaviors, reports observations to supervisor.
• Facilitates educational-rehabilitative groups on social skills, coping, anger management, living skills.
• Documents in client records timely and accurately.
• Assists with incident reports and transfer/transport coordination.
