Job summary

Coastal Pines Behavioral Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Associate (BHA) for a full-time, days schedule at the new hospital near Jacksonville, FL. This role provides personal care services under clinical or nursing leadership and emphasizes patient safety and empathetic customer service.

The facility will offer inpatient, PHP, IOP, and ECT services with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months or more experience working with the behavioral health population preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate urgency for patient safety and provide excellent customer service.
• Ensure the well-being of patients and maintain a positive, supportive environment.
• Perform safety checks and supervise per guidelines (15-minute intervals or as needed).
• Document accurate clinical information in patient records.
• Assist with daily living activities and comfort for patients.
• Facilitate patient educational and rehabilitative activities and groups.
• Engage patients to support treatment goals and outcomes.
• Complete required documentation and assist with incident reports.
