Job summary

Coastal Pines Behavioral Health in St. Johns, FL is seeking a Behavioral Health Associate (BHA) for PRN Night shifts to support patients under clinical leadership. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor safety, document in medical records, and help maintain a calm, therapeutic environment.

We value compassionate care and teamwork with nursing staff. A high school diploma and CPR/de-escalation training are required; six months’ experience in the behavioral health space is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months or more experience working with the specific population of the facility preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required.
• First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a sense of urgency related to patient safety and provide excellent customer services.
• Ensure the well-being of patients and provide a positive, supportive and structured environment.
• Document timely, accurate and appropriate clinical information in patient's medical record.
• Assist in providing a safe, secure and comfortable environment for patients, significant others and staff.
• Interact routine with patients, observe behaviors and communicate significant observations to nursing staff.
• Engage patients in activities and interactions designed to encourage achievement of treatment goals.
