RHA Health Services, LLC is seeking a Behavioral Health Associate Licensed Clinical Professional (Associate Level) in Lenoir, NC. The role performs assessments, crisis intervention, and both individual and group therapy to adults and children with mental health and substance use needs.

The position requires master’s-level education and an associate-level professional license; licensure advancement possibilities exist as the clinician progresses toward full licensure.

Job Profile Summary The Behavioral Health Licensed Clinical Professional (Associate Level) will provide therapeutic services to individuals across a broad range of ages and diagnoses. In this role, you will offer assessments, crisis intervention, and both individual and group therapy. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with clients, families, and community partners to deliver holistic, person-centered care and support lasting positive outcomes.

Location: Lenoir, NC (Caldwell County) Salary: $55,000-$58,000 Associate Level; $60,000-64,000 Fully licensed Schedule: M-F; 8am-5pm; no on call responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic services, including assessments, crisis intervention, individual therapy, and group therapy, to adults and children/adolescents with various mental health and substance use disorders.
• Serve individuals with a wide variety of diagnoses, creating personalized treatment plans based on their specific needs.
• Facilitate connections and build relationships between the organization, individuals served, their parents/guardians, local agencies, and the community.
• Support individuals by coordinating referrals and connections to services that address their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
• Work closely with clinical and professional team members to maintain communication, offer feedback, and ensure consistent, effective treatment implementation.
• Standardize procedures to ensure high-quality, person-centered care and expedite treatment plans.

• Demonstrates flexibility and commitment to meeting unit needs.
• Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education & Licensure Associate-level licensure (e.g., LCMHCA, LMFTA, LCSWA, or similar) required. Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field.

Experience & Skills Experience working with individuals diagnosed with mental health and/or substance use disorders. Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques, crisis intervention strategies, and person-centered treatment planning. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and community partners. Strong organizational and time management skills.

Requirements: Licensed Clinical Professional Associate is defined as an individual who is: (a) an individual who holds a provisional license, certificate, registration or permit issued by the governing board regulating a human service profession, except a registered nurse who is licensed to practice in the State of North Carolina by the North Carolina Board of Nursing who also has four years of full-time accumulated experience in MH/DD/SA with the population served; the QP function may be completed by a Certified Clinical Addiction Specialist (CCAS) or Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS); or (b)the individual must meet the requirements for continuing education to maintain licensure.
