Job summary

You will participate in groups, document patient observations, assist with admissions/discharges, and support safety and family involvement. CPR certification is required, and an associate degree is the minimum education requirement.

Qualifications

• Requires at least an associate degree in social sciences or education; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Previous mental health or social services experience preferred.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain milieu management with therapeutic psychiatric interventions as outlined by the treatment plan.
• Lead psychoeducational groups and specialty groups appropriate to patient population and developmental age.
• Maintain milieu management and use crisis de-escalation strategies to ensure safety of patient, self, and others.
• Participate as a member of the multidisciplinary team and provide input on patient progress in meetings.
• Communicate effectively with health care providers regarding patient progress to ensure continuity of care.
