Job summary

Summit BHC seeks a Behavioral Health Associate II for the day shift at The Pavilion in Williamsburg Place, VA. The role supports the treatment team, monitors patient behavior, and provides continuous care on-site.

Requirements include a high school diploma and 1+ year experience with the specific patient population; CPR/de-escalation certification are required after hire. Benefits include tuition assistance and comprehensive medical coverage after 30 days.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• At least one year experience as a BHA required.
• One or more years’ experience with the specific population served preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, positive, structured environment under supervision.
• Assist activities of daily living and daily living tasks.
• Conduct safety checks and supervise patients per guidelines.
• Observe behaviors and report significant observations to supervisor.
• Engage patients in activities to support treatment goals.
• Facilitate educational/rehabilitative groups on topics like social skills.
• Take and record vital signs and report changes to charge nurse.
• Chart patient records timely and accurately.
• Apply de-escalation techniques and assist with crisis management as needed.
• Assist with admissions/discharges and transportation as required.
