Job summary

The Ranch at Dove Tree in Lubbock, Texas, is seeking a Behavioral Health Associate I to join a multidisciplinary team. The role focuses on monitoring client behaviors, providing continuous care, and responding in crises.

On-site placement with on-going supervision ensures a safe and structured environment for treatment activities. Required CPR certification and de-escalation training; high school diploma or equivalent; some experience with the target population is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Six months or more experience working with the specific population of the facility preferred.
• Knowledge of common psychiatric disorders and/or dual diagnosis and various treatment modalities of the population served preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the wellbeing of clients and provides a safe, positive, supportive, and structured environment.
• Conducts safety checks and monitors supervision as per guidelines.
• Interacts with clients, observes behaviors, and communicates observations to supervisor.
• Facilitates client educational-rehabilitative groups on social skills, coping skills, and independent living skills.
• Takes and records vital signs and reports significant changes to the charge nurse.
