Job summary

The Ranch at Dove Tree, operated by Summit BHC, is seeking a Behavioral Health Associate I for its Texas facility in Lubbock. This onsite role supports a multidisciplinary treatment team, monitors client safety, and contributes to treatment planning.

Responsibilities include facilitating groups, observing client behaviors, recording vital signs, and assisting with crisis response. A high school diploma and CPR/de-escalation training are required, with 6 months of relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months or more experience with the specific population preferred.
• Knowledge of common psychiatric disorders often benefits performance.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe, positive, structured environment and supervises clients.
• Conducts safety checks and follows individualized supervision guidelines.
• Checks for contraband and manages client belongings.
• Interacts with clients, observes behavior, and reports observations to supervisor.
• Facilitates educational-rehabilitative groups on social skills and living skills.
• Takes vital signs, charts records, and reports changes to the charge nurse.
• Applies de-escalation techniques to manage emotions and participation.
