Horizon Village in Buffalo, NY is hiring a Behavioral Health Assistant/Driver for our detox and inpatient unit. The role includes admissions/discharges, patient safety rounds, room searches, and transport, with a focus on recovery support.

Requirements include an Associate degree or a high school diploma with relevant experience, plus a valid NYS driver's license and reliable transportation for local travel. The position offers full-time hours and a varied evening schedule.

Qualifications

• An Associate’s degree and 1 year of behavioral health or healthcare work experience required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent with 2 years of behavioral health or healthcare work experience required.
• A clean, valid NYS driver’s license, three years of driving experience, and reliable transportation to travel locally on a regular basis required.

Responsabilités

• Assist with patient admissions and discharges.
• Perform hourly building rounds to ensure patient safety.
• Complete room searches throughout the facility.
• Administer toxicology screenings.
• Supervise wellness and family group activities.
• Guide patients through the challenges of recovery.
• Address patient behaviors using a patient-centered approach.
• Transport patients as needed.
