Job summary

Springwoods Behavioral Health in Fayetteville, Arkansas, seeks a Medical APRN to provide direct clinical services in an inpatient behavioral health setting. The APRN will conduct H&Ps, diagnose, manage medications, and participate in treatment planning under supervising physicians, focusing on adolescents and adults.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, maintain comprehensive medical records, counsel patients and families, and ensure quality of care through established protocols.

Qualifications

• Valid license to practice and prescribe as Nurse Practitioner in Arkansas.
• Minimum of 2 years in a behavioral health/psychiatric setting; adolescents preferred.
• Provide general medical care, assessments, evaluations and treatment with coordination of care.

Responsibilities

• Performs medical history & physicals and medical consultations; orders and interprets labs and imaging.
• Provides direct clinical services for hospital medicine according to protocols.
• Assesses patient physical, emotional, and developmental status across the lifespan.
• Provides primary care based on assessments and clinical judgment to maintain or improve health.
• Adjusts nursing care based on health problems to ensure optimal patient care.
• Counsels patients and families on healthy lifestyle choices and referrals.
• Collaborates with physicians and other health professionals; documents results in medical records.
