Job summary

Springwoods Behavioral Health in Fayetteville, AR is seeking a Medical APRN for PRN contract work. The APRN will conduct medical assessments, diagnose, manage medications, and develop treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians and a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include performing H&Ps, ordering labs/imaging, providing primary care, and coordinating with the Medical Director to ensure high-quality medical services.

Qualifications

• Arkansas NP license required.
• 2+ years in behavioral health/psychiatric care; adolescents preferred.
• Provide general medical care, assessments and coordination of care with physicians and staff.
• Perform physical examinations and preventive health measures per guidelines.
• Coordinate with Medical Director to ensure high-quality medical services.
• Prescribe treatments and referrals as needed; CPR certification required.
• Handle with Care training and Service Excellence training within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs medical history and physicals; orders, performs and interprets labs and imaging.
• Provides direct clinical services for hospital medicine according to protocols.
• Assesses physical, emotional, and developmental status across the life span.
• Provides primary care based on assessments and clinical judgments.
• Adjusts activity level of patients according to health problems.
• Counsels and arranges referrals for healthy lifestyle changes.
• Collaborates with physicians and other health professionals; documents findings accurately.
• Explains procedures and prepares patients and families for procedures.
• Ensures quality of patient records and care continuity.
