Job summary

University Hospital is seeking a Behavioral Health Aide to provide direct patient care to adults and older adults under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role includes performing simple nursing procedures, transporting patients to tests, and helping maintain a clean and orderly unit.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, nursing assistant training or experience, and current CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing assistant course or 1 year of nursing assistant experience required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Behavioral health/crisis intervention experience preferred.
• Ability to take temperatures, pulse, respirations, BP and other simple procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision for adults and older adults.
• Transport patients to tests and procedures; maintain unit orderliness and cleanliness.
