Job summary

Coral Shores Behavioral Health, a Coral Shores facility in Stuart, FL, seeks an Admissions Counselor to perform risk assessments and coordinate admissions for both adolescent and adult patients. Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a behavioral health setting.
• Must hold a Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or Human Services, or be a Florida licensed RN.
• Valid BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephonic and in-person risk assessments to help determine the appropriate level of care.
• Coordinate referral and intake processes; act as the initial contact for referral sources and potential patients.
• Facilitate admissions and maintain ongoing communication with referral sources, families, patients and unit staff.
• Verify and obtain prior authorization of insurance benefits as needed.
