Job summary

You will document progress for the treatment team, may train other staff, and collaborate to tailor activities to patient needs while maintaining compliance with facility policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Must have good knowledge of the English language.
• Must be computer literate, experience with Microsoft Office or similar products preferred.
• Willingness to cross train in other areas.
• Previous experience or training in providing structured activities.
• Commitment to Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, and directs activity programs for patients in behavioral health.
• Directs activities such as sports, dramatics, games, and arts and crafts to build social skills and confidence.
• Instructs relaxation techniques and calisthenics to reduce stress and improve wellbeing.
• Prepares progress charts and reports for medical staff and treatment team.
• May supervise staff, review assessments, and train team members in activity therapy techniques.
