Qualifications

• Master's degree preferred.
• 1-3 years of teaching or educational coaching experience required.
• Current Special Education Tennessee Teachers License (Comprehensive or Modified) required.

Responsibilities

• Establish immediate, intensive supports for students entering MNPS in DCS custody who demonstrate significant behavioral and social-emotional needs.
• Increase timely implementation of behavioral supports, including FBAs, BIPs, and individualized transition plans for students entering the district.
• Improve collaboration among school teams, DCS personnel, related service providers, and families to ensure coordinated support for students.
• Build school staff capacity through coaching, modeling, and implementation of evidence-based behavioral interventions.
• Increase student engagement and participation in educational programming through individualized behavioral and academic supports.
• Will attend required BID meetings across the district.
• Will work with assigned school psychologists for DCS students, providing direct services when needed.
• Must maintain up-to-date knowledge of DCS-related laws, policies, and practices through regular professional learning.
