Dungarvin is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) caregiver to provide direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities. The role emphasizes dignity, respect, and independence for those served.

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver's license required (due to transporting persons served).
• Must be comfortable driving to transport persons served; some positions may require your own vehicle and auto liability insurance based on the role.

Job Description

What You Get To Do:

Some of the people we support experience significant mental health or behavioral challenges. These may include verbal or physical aggression, emotional distress, or other behaviors that require patience, sound judgment, and effective crisis-management skills.

ADirect Support Professional (DSP) caregiverprovides direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual & developmental, and physical disabilities. The ultimate goal is to empower individuals with disabilities to live as independently and comfortably as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect.

• Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.

Qualifications
