Job summary

TEAMCare Behavioral Health LLC seeks a Behavioral Consultant or Mobile Therapist to deliver evidence-based, strength-based behavioral interventions for children and families in Dauphin County. Responsibilities include data-driven treatment planning, direct therapy, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications include a graduate degree in a relevant field, clinical practicum, and licenses/certifications such as BCBA or PA Behavior Specialist where applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of full-time direct mental health services for children/adolescents
• Graduate degree in psychology, social work, education, or counseling
• Clinical practicum in mental health required
• ABA training or certification is preferred
• PA Behavior Specialist license and BCBA certification are desirable

Responsibilities

• Develop a data-driven treatment plan for child/adolescent clients
• Provide direct behavioral intervention and family/collaborator coordination
• Track and chart client progress including frequency, intensity, and duration of behaviors
• Coordinate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other professionals as needed
• Create crisis plans and daily routines for transitions and crises

Behavioral Consultant/Mobile Therapist

FT and PT positions available

Dauphin County

The Behavioral Consultant (BC) and Mobile Therapist (MT) will gather information on the antecedents, behaviors, and consequences in written format to identify treatment goals, determine the type of behavioral intervention needed, and design behavior modification plans that are strength-based, non-aversive, and respect the social-cultural background of the client and family.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a treatment plan for child or adolescent involving data integration from multiple sources with regular, data-driven updates
• Direct treatment program including consultation/intervention utilizing behavioral management techniques, regular meetings, and consultation with client, family, and other treatment team members
• Track client progress through organization, review, and charting of data collected by treatment team members regarding frequency, intensity, and duration of targeted behaviors and positive replacement behaviors
• Determine clinical necessity for special evaluations and services such as medication needs assessment by a psychiatrist, psychological testing, or other services
• Collaborate with child/adolescent, family, and other involved professionals to develop daily routines for implementation during times of crisis and transition as well as a 24-hour crisis plan

What you need to be SUCCESSFUL in the Behavioral Consultant and Mobile Therapist role:

• Proficiency in Excel, MS Word, and ability to learn and efficiently utilize computer applications (i.e., EMR)
• Must possess or have ability to obtain Act 33, Act 34, and FBI clearances
• Education:
  1. minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in providing direct mental health services to children, youth or young adults and a graduate degree in psychology, social work, education, or counseling
  2. completed a clinical or mental health direct service practicum and have a graduate degree in psychology, social work, education, counseling or a related field
  3. graduate degree in ABA
  4. be licensed in this Commonwealth as a Behavior Specialist
  5. have a certification as a BCBA
• Valid PA Driver's license and active car insurance
