Job summary

Maxim Healthcare in Livermore is seeking a Behavioral Caregiver to support children and adults with developmental delays and challenging behaviors. This role emphasizes one-to-one support and implementing behavior intervention strategies.

You will assist with daily activities, personal care, and data collection for the Behavior Support Plan, while ensuring safety and compassionate care. Starting pay is $28-$30 per hour, with benefits and weekly pay.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Experience in educational or healthcare settings preferred.
At least one year of experience with individuals with special needs who display challenging or aggressive behaviors.
College coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral sciences or related field preferred.
Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one behavior intervention services to individuals with behavioral challenges.
Provide/assist with daily program activities in self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor and behavior and crisis intervention.
Assist client with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, preparation and feeding of meals, dressing and undressing, ambulation and other activities as needed.
Implement and collect data of the behaviors and goals outlined in the Behavior Support Plan.
