Job summary

Charter Schools USA is seeking an enthusiastic Behavioral Aide to support students with behavioral needs in our Louisiana schools. You will assist with supervision, create a positive classroom environment, and help implement behavior plans under guidance.

Strong communication with parents and staff is essential, and you will participate in trainings and routine duties to support student success. The role emphasizes safety, confidentiality, and collaboration within a team to uphold CSUSA's

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Speak, read, and write English fluently.
• Successful results of criminal and employment background check.
• Experience working with children, preferably with disabilities.
• Commitment to CSUSA values and code of ethics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SIS systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and assist students with behavioral needs under teacher/administrator guidance.
• Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
• Maintain discipline and order and monitor isolation time-out areas.
• Collect behavioral data for assessments and document incidents.
• Assist in implementing Behavioral Intervention Plans and crisis procedures.
• Coordinate communication with parents/guardians and staff.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in trainings and classroom prep tasks.
• Assist with clerical duties and classroom setup as required.
