Job summary

Point Quest Group is seeking a Floater Behavioral Aide for Fair Oaks, CA. You will support students ages 5-22 with behavioral and learning needs across multiple school sites, traveling to 30+ miles one-way as needed. This is a full-time, school-hours role with travel.

You'll implement IEPs/BIPs, provide instructional support, and reinforce positive behaviors using ABA methods. Data tracking and effective communication with staff are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• DOJ/FBI Live Scan Background Clearance and TB Clearance.
• Strong communication skills and reliability.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
• Provide individualized instructional assistance tailored to student needs (paraprofessional/ instructional aide).
• Travel to multiple school sites (30+ miles one-way) within the assigned region.
• Respond to crisis situations using Pro-ACT and/or CPI intervention strategies.
• Supervise students during transitions, meals, transportation, and breaks (student supervision/ school support).
• Facilitate and engage students in recreational and educational activities.
• Model and reinforce positive behaviors using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques.
• Record and maintain accurate daily data on behavior, progress, and incidents (data tracking/ documentation).

What We’re Looking For

Must Have

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• DOJ/FBI Live Scan Background Clearance and TB Clearance
• Strong communication skills and reliable
• At least 18 years of age

Preferred

• Experience in school or treatment settings
• Pro-ACT, CPI, and/or CPR certification
• Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques
• 1-3 years of experience working with students with behavioral or special needs

Physical Demands:

• Environment: Occasional exposure to dust, pollen, and fumes.
• Activity: Frequent engagement in tasks such as reaching, handling, standing, walking, and lifting items.
• Sensory: Ability to perform essential job functions with or without assistive devices or accommodations, including working in moderate to high noise levels.
