Comprehensive Early Autism Services (CEAS) is seeking a part-time line therapist to work 1:1 with young children in clients' homes in Milwaukee, WI. You will support skill development in communication, motor, self-help and pre-academic areas, involve families, collect data, and coordinate with a team of therapists; travel to each client's home within service area.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or pursuit of degree in psychology, education, child development, or related field.

Job Description

Comprehensive Early Autism Services (CEAS) provides in-home therapy for young children with autism. The program is based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.

Location: Milwaukee, WI

Employment Type: Part-Time

Salary: Competitive

We are currently looking for a line therapist to work 1:1 with children (ages 2-8) in a highly individualized and supported environment. All therapy sessions are carried out in the client's home. The line therapist's duties and responsibilities include:

  • Working with the child in a number of skill areas, such as conversation skills, fine/gross motor skills, self-help skills, and pre-academic skills.
  • Integrating the child's family into therapy sessions.
  • Data collection and making data-based decisions.
  • Learning strategies and procedures to teach children with developmental delays.
  • Attending team meetings and coordinating with a team of therapists.
  • Traveling to the home of each client on the therapist's case load.

Requirements
  • This job requires a car, and a willingness to travel within the cities of Milwaukee, Oconomowoc, Whitewater and/or other surrounding areas. Part-time and full-time hours are available.
  • Bachelors degree or pursuit of degree in psychology, education, child development, or related field.
  • Experience working with young children or children with disabilities.
  • All employees must be able to lift approximately 30 pounds and the ability to move easily from a seated position. (Behavioral Therapists working in homes spend 80% of the time sitting on the floor with their clients).
