Job summary

Sunny Days is hiring part-time ABA and RBT Therapists to provide in-home services to children on the autism spectrum in California, up to 29 hours per week. We offer flexible hours from 8:00am to 8:00pm, Monday through Friday, with late afternoons and evenings. Bilingual in Spanish is a PLUS.

You will create engaging learning experiences, implement ABA programs under a BCBA supervisor, track progress in Central Reach, and help kids develop social and daily living skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required with 1 year experience in ABA field preferred.
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification, or RBT in process, is a PLUS.
• Experience working with children, especially with autism using ABA methodologies.
• Energetic, comfortable playing with children, and passionate about helping youth.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a PLUS.

Responsibilities

• Create a fun, motivating learning environment for each individual.
• Implement ABA programming under the direction of a BCBA/supervisor.
• Use ABA principles such as reinforcement, prompting, fading and shaping.
• Encourage socialization and daily living skills.
• Respond to disruptive behaviors following the BCBA/supervisor’s plan.
• Collect data and enter progress in Central Reach.

Job Description

• Create a fun, motivating experience to generate a positive learning environment for every individual
• Implement individualized applied behavior analysis (ABA) programming under the direction of a BCBA/supervisor
• Use basic principles of ABA such as: reinforcement, prompting, fading, and shaping procedures
• Implement strategies to encourage socialization and daily living skills
• Effectively respond to and minimize difficult or disruptive behaviors by following the behavior intervention plan created by the BCBA/supervisor
• Collect data on ABA programming targets and utilize an online system (Central Reach) to enter, track, and view progress

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required with 1 year experience in Applied Behavior Analysis field preferred
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT certified), or RBT in process, is a PLUS
• Experience working with children, especially those with autism using ABA methodologies
• Candidates must be energetic, comfortable playing with children, and have a passion for helping youth achieve their true potential
• Bilingual in Spanish a PLUS
