Job summary

Sunny Days offers in-home ABA therapy and RBT services in California, hiring part-time therapists to work with children on the autism spectrum. Services run 8:00am–8:00pm, Monday through Friday, with prime time in the late afternoon evenings. Bilingual Spanish is a plus and iPad is provided.

For BTs and RBTs, flexible schedules and locations are available, with opportunities for sign-on bonuses, paid travel time, and 401k participation; direct deposit and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 1 year ABA experience preferred.
• RBT certification (or in process) preferred.
• Experience with children on the autism spectrum using ABA.
• Energetic, able to engage with children and support learning.

Responsibilities

• Create a fun motivating experience to generate a positive learning environment for every individual.
• Implement individualized ABA programming under the direction of a BCBA supervisor.
• Use ABA principles such as reinforcement, prompting, fading and shaping procedures.
• Implement strategies to encourage socialization and daily living skills.
• Respond to and minimize difficult behaviors following the BCBA supervisor's plan.
• Collect data on ABA targets and enter progress in Central Reach.

Job Description

• Create a fun motivating experience to generate a positive learning environment for every individual
• Implement individualized applied behavior analysis ABA programming under the direction of a BCBAsupervisor
• Use basic principles of ABA such as reinforcement prompting fading and shaping procedures
• Implement strategies to encourage socialization and daily living skills
• Effectively respond to and minimize difficult or disruptive behaviors by following the behavior intervention plan created by the BCBAsupervisor
• Collect data on ABA programming targets and utilize an online system Central Reach to enter track and view progress

Position Requirements

• Bachelors Degree required with 1 year experience in Applied Behavior Analysis field preferred
• Registered Behavior Technician RBT certified or RBT in process is a PLUS
• Experience working with children especially those with autism using ABA methodologies
• Candidates must be energetic comfortable playing with children and have a passion for helping youth achieve their true potential
• Bilingual in Spanish a PLUS
