Job summary

ABA SHINE is hiring a Behavior Technician or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for 1:1 support in Livermore, CA. This part-time role offers 15 hours per week with shifts after 2:30 PM on four days, or 3 hours daily across five days.

The focus is on providing compassionate, high-quality care for a young adult with complex behavioral needs. The position requires RBT certification or strong experience in behavior support and crisis intervention.

Qualifications

• RBT certification or strong experience in behavior support/crisis intervention.
• Ability to manage high-intensity behaviors safely and professionally.
• Male candidates preferred due to client’s needs.
• Must be reliable, patient and physically capable of handling aggressive episodes.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 direct behavior support and supervision.
• Implement behavior intervention strategies as directed by a BCBA.
• Ensure client safety and de-escalate aggressive or unsafe behavior.
• Accurately document session notes and incident reports.
• Collaborate with facility staff and clinical team.

Now Hiring: Strong Behavior Technician or RBT – $40–$45/hour | Urgent Case 1:1 behavior respite in Livermore, CA

Company: ABA SHINE Position: Behavior Technician or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Location: home-based Livermore Compensation: $30–$35 per hour Shifts: part-time Shift needed 15 hours a week. 3.75h after 2:30 for 4 days a week or 3 hours a day for 5 days a week.

About the Case: We are urgently seeking experienced and reliable Behavior Technicians or RBTs to provide 1:1 support for a sweet young adult male with can exhibit severe maladaptive behaviors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 direct behavior support and supervision


• Implement behavior intervention strategies as directed by a BCBA


• Ensure client safety and de-escalate aggressive or unsafe behavior


• Accurately document session notes and incident reports


• Collaborate with facility staff and clinical team

Requirements:

• RBT certification or strong experience in behavior support/crisis intervention


• Ability to manage high-intensity behaviors professionally and safely


• Male candidates are preferred due to the client’s specific needs


• Must be reliable, patient, and physically capable of managing aggressive episodes


• Livescan, CPR, and TB clearance required (or willingness to obtain quickly)
