Job summary

Caravel Autism Health in Rockford, IL is seeking a Behavior Technician who will support children with autism using ABA techniques, with paid training to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). No prior behavioral health experience required; must be 18+, HS diploma or GED; 8:00 am–6:00 pm, Mon–Fri with possible Saturdays for make-up sessions.

Competitive hourly pay $18.50–$20.00 and full-time benefits for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

We utilize a results-oriented approach based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) to assess how clients interact with their environment and respond to social cues, and you'll play a crucial part in helping build skills and document progress. You'll start your day playing and encouraging little learners, all while incorporating targets from each client's individualized treatment plan and promoting the development of essential skills. Requirements

• Availability to work full-time between the hours of 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday (Centers are open periodically on Saturdays for make-up client sessions.)
• High school diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, social work, or a related field preferred.
• Experience working with children with special needs preferred.
• Strong work ethic and a positive, creative approach to problem-solving.
• Must be 18 years old or older.
• Must obtain RBT within 75 days of employment.
