Job summary

DESERT WIND MIDDLE SCHOOL is seeking an ESS Behavior Technician to provide academic and behavioral support to students aged 5–21 under the guidance of the ESS Behavior Program Teacher. Responsibilities include implementing PBIPs, one-on-one interventions, and data collection to monitor progress.

The role requires a High School Diploma/GED (or higher) with state guidelines for paraprofessionals; bilingual skills are a plus. Salary is per the district compensation plan, with full-time hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• PRAXIS or Work Keys tested or higher education credentials.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher with academic and behavioral support.
• Implement classroom management and social skill training with students.
• Maintain accurate progress reports and data sheets for IEP goals.
• Coordinate with ESS Behavior Teacher to ensure consistent support across environments.
• Complete at least 20 hours of training every 3 years in related areas.
