Behavior Technician - Rewarding Work with Kids (ABA)

Discover Hope is seeking Behavior Technicians to provide Applied Behavior Analytic (ABA) therapy to children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder in home and community settings. Current openings:
Part-time positions available Mon-Fri 2pm-8pm and Sat 9am-3pm, with potential for full-time roles. We seek long-term candidates (minimum 1 year); internships, temporary, or short-term roles are not available.

BT Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 behavior therapy in child's home or community settings
• Complete daily data collection
• Follow treatment and behavior plans
• Attend staff/team meetings
• Communicate effectively with team members
• Lift up to 50 pounds, run, squat, sit on the floor
• Have reliable transportation and travel between sites
• Provide proof of valid driver license and auto insurance
• Pass background/fingerprint checks (DOJ and FBI)
• Provide proof of negative TB test and vaccinations (Hep B, Tdap, MMR, Varicella); Hep B and Tdap can be declined
• Complete CPR training (provided by the company)

Minimum Requirements:

• Board Certified Autism Technician (BCAT) credential within 90 days of hire
• High school diploma and 18+ years old; college degree in psychology, early childhood education, or related field preferred
• One or more years of experience with children with autism or developmental disabilities (preferred)
• Ability to work on the floor or at small tables
• Good judgment, decision-making, and communication skills
• Discretion and confidentiality
• Effective verbal and written communication; bilingual skills are a plus
