Akoya Behavioral Health is a clinician-owned and operated in-home ABA program specializing in children with autism. Our focus is on the family and client together, and we believe that by supporting the family/caregivers, we can do more. Our clinical team is led by a BCBA with over 20 years of experience in the ABA field, serving families and children across more than a dozen states.

Our goal is to build a team of experts supporting various functions within Akoya and fostering effective communication among team members and departments. We aim to enhance the independence of the children we serve and support the independence and work of all team members.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide 1:1 care using ABA principles in clients' homes.
2. Implement individualized, strength-based treatment plans.
3. Collect data, monitor progress, and support development in communication, leisure, social, and daily living skills.
4. Manage problematic behaviors with effective strategies.
5. Update the clinical team on client progress.
6. Maintain a positive, respectful environment and obtain assent.
7. Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers.
8. Be open to learning new skills and methodologies.
9. Use creative teaching and problem-solving to enhance learning.

Candidate Qualifications:

• High school diploma or higher.
• Preferably some or all of a bachelor’s degree in child development, psychology, or early education.
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Passion for working with children.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Ability to sit, stand, kneel, squat, run, and lift up to 30 pounds.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to pass a background check.
