Job summary

Autism Education & Therapy Center LLC is seeking a RBT to provide in-clinic one-on-one therapy under BCBA supervision, following ABA protocols and behavior intervention methods. You will record daily data, write session notes, and assist with caregiver training while upholding HIPAA and client dignity.

Ability to communicate with families and the BCBA is essential, as is adherence to company safety policies and data storage requirements.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma.
  • RBT certification in good standing.
  • Knowledge of ABA, human behavior and performance.
  • Knowledge of industry terminology.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-clinic one-on-one therapy to assigned client under BCBA supervision.
  • Follow prescribed behavioral protocols outlined by the BCBA.
  • Implement behavior interventions to increase desired behaviors.
  • Conduct daily data recording and graphing per supervisor guidance.
  • Write objective session notes for service verification.
  • Assist with parent and caregiver training per treatment plan.
  • Communicate progress with parents, caregivers, and BCBA.
  • Follow safety procedures and HIPAA requirements.
  • Maintain client dignity, confidentiality, and data integrity.

Job description

Essential FunctionsProvide in-clinic one-on-one therapy to their assigned client, under the supervision of a BCBA.Follow the prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols outlined by the BCBA.Implement behavior intervention methods to increase desired behaviors as outlined in the client schedule.Implement behavior change programs such as shaping, prompting, differential reinforcement, and error correction procedures to support the learning and development of their assigned client.Receive initial and ongoing training on Autism, ABA and behavior intervention methods.Conduct daily data recording and graphing as outlined by their manager.Receive supervision and feedback by their manager to ensure quality implementation of the client’s ABA programming.Write objective session notes for service verification by describing what occurred during the sessions, in accordance with applicable legal, regulatory, and Behavioral Framework’s requirements.Assist with parent and caregiver training in line with client’s individualized treatment and behavior reduction protocols.Effectively communicate and interact with parents and caregivers regarding client progress as instructed by the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.Effectively communicate and interact with their BCBA.Follow company specific procedures for client safety and handling.Comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and Behavioral Framework’s data collection, storage, transportation, and documentation requirements.Maintain client dignity, confidentiality, and adhere to HIPAA laws.CompetenciesCustomer Orientation - Demonstrates concern for satisfying one's external and/or internal customers; quickly and effectively solves customer problems; talks to customers (internal or external) to find out what they want and how satisfied they are with what they are getting; finds ways to measure and track customer satisfaction.Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; seeks ways to improve and promote quality; applies feedback to improve performance; monitors own work to ensure quality. Navigate different cultural norms to foster teamwork, understanding, and productivity in multicultural settings.Communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; writes clearly and informatively; reads and interprets written information.Results - Focuses on completing essential tasks within an appropriate timeframe; is effective at setting priorities; demonstrates proficiency in both the quality and quantity of work; effectiveness of performance under pressure and/or opposition.Knowledge, Skills, ExperienceHigh school diploma.RBT certification in good standing.Knowledge of ABA, human behavior and performance.Knowledge of industry terminology.Work Environment, Physical ConditionsMust be physically present at the assigned job location, which may include home, school, and community placements at least 30 hours per week.Able to comply with practice policies and procedures and the ethical guidelines of RBTs.Must have a mobile device (such as a smart phone or tablet) to bring to work.Must be able to perform a variety of physical and often repetitive activities including (but not limited to) standing and sitting for long periods of time, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, and pulling.Must exhibit satisfactory manual dexterity, auditory, and visual skills.Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to or more than 100lbs.
