Job summary

Pivotal Parenting Support in Long Beach is seeking a Behavior Technician to deliver one-on-one therapy to individuals with autism spectrum disorder, under the guidance of a BCBA, in home, school, or community settings.

You will collect data, help implement treatment plans, and collaborate with the BCBA and care team to ensure consistent, compassionate care. The role offers part-time hours with potential for full-time, and a supportive, growth-oriented team environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with individuals with autism is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and implement behavior plans effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one therapy to individuals with autism spectrum disorder.
  • Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA.
  • Collect and record data on client progress and behavior.
  • Assist with development and implementation of individualized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with BCBA and team to ensure consistency in treatment approach.

Job Responsibilities
  • Implement behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Provide direct one-on-one therapy to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
  • Collect and record data on client progress and behavior
  • Assist with the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with the BCBA and other team members to ensure consistency in treatment approach
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred
  • Previous experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and implement behavior plans effectively
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on individuals' lives
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Job Details
  • Provide behavior intervention services to individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disorders in the home, school, and in the community
  • Implement behavior intervention and skill acquisition plans created by and under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
