Job summary

Connect ABA + Therapy in Whispering Pines, NC is seeking compassionate Behavior Technicians to work with BCBA-supported plans in homes, schools, and community settings. You will implement tailored interventions, collect progress data, and help children acquire vital life skills.

Qualifications

Behavior Technician(BT) Position Overview:

We are seeking kind-hearted, motivated individuals to work as Behavior Technicians. In this role, you will collaborate with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement tailored behavior plans and teach vital life skills. You’ll work in various environments, including homes, schools, and community settings, delivering interventions, tracking progress, and supporting clients in achieving their goals.

Behavior Technician(BT) Primary Responsibilities:
  • Follow and execute individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) developed by a BCBA to meet client needs.
  • Provide one-on-one instruction using ABA techniques such as discrete trial training (DTT), natural environment teaching, and behavior modification strategies.
  • Accurately collect data on client behavior and progress using specified methods and tools.
  • Assist clients in learning functional skills in areas like communication, social interaction, self-care, and independent living.
  • Maintain a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters client participation, growth, and independence.
  • Work closely with the BCBA and interdisciplinary team to assess progress, modify intervention strategies when needed, and ensure consistency across different settings.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and caregivers, providing regular updates on progress.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to strengthen your ABA knowledge and skills.
Behavior Technician(BT) Qualifications:
  • Ability to follow specific instructions, implement behavior plans correctly, and collect accurate data.
  • Reliable transportation and a willingness to travel to various locations, including homes, schools, or community spaces.
