Job Title: Behavior Technician (R/BT)

Job Type: Part-time to start, with opportunities for expanded hours

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour depending on Experience and Certifications

Location: Northville, MI and surrounding locations up to a 25 mile radius

Dashi Rivers, a division of Kennedy Care, is looking for ABA Behavior Therapists (R/BTs) to join our mission in providing a fun, family-centered ABA therapy approach to our learners and their families. ABA is a proven approach used to evaluate human behavior to produce meaningful changes.

This position is ideal if you have experience as a CNA, Teacher Assistant, Mental Health Technician, Paraprofessional, Daycare, or Preschool professional. We also offer opportunities to further your career to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), along with other advancement opportunities in pediatric therapy.

What To Expect

Using research-based methods, ABA Behavior Therapist R/BTs provide direct 1:1 ABA therapy to children in a center or home-based setting. They work under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to deliver behavioral services for children with autism.

Job Responsibilities

  • Adhere to ethical guidelines and BACB standards
  • Motivate early learners during program implementation
  • Accurately electronically collect data to assess treatment effectiveness
  • Implement written plans to reduce aggression and challenging behaviors
  • Proactively communicate with BCBAs, caregivers, and guardians
  • Respond calmly and appropriately to unexpected behaviors
  • Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines
  • Complete required training and education
  • Use electronic software effectively
  • Provide clear, efficient documentation

Schedule

Varied shifts Monday-Friday between 8am-6pm, occasional Saturdays for make-up sessions

Work Location: In Person

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Reliable transportation
  • RBT Certification (preferred)
  • Valid Michigan Driver's License
  • Background check clearance
  • Experience with children or background in Special Education, Psychology, or related fields (preferred but not required)
  • Energetic, empathetic, passionate about working with individuals with special needs
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and engage in physical activities
  • Valid RBT credential number if applicable
